We're a volunteer-led NGO running tree-plantation drives, relief work and community-service camps across Odisha. Every member, every rupee and every sapling is counted — and reported back to the people who give them.
Samuha Seva Foundation is a registered, volunteer-led non-profit working across Odisha. "Samuha" means community, "Seva" means selfless service — together they describe how we operate: as neighbours organising around the needs in front of us, not as an institution delivering aid from a distance.
What began as a small group of college friends running a single flood-relief camp has grown into a network of members spread across dozens of villages. Today we run year-round tree-plantation drives, blood-donation camps, free health check-up camps for underserved villages, and emergency relief during the cyclone and flood season.
Every member has visibility into how funds are used — we publish our plantation counts, expenses and beneficiary numbers to our members, because trust is the only currency an organisation like ours can run on.
Native-species tree drives across degraded and roadside land.
Flood & cyclone response kits for vulnerable households.
Free health check-up camps and basic medicines for underserved villages.
Odisha loses native tree cover every year to expanding roads, brick kilns and erratic monsoons. Mission Hariyali is our long-term answer: 10,000 native trees planted and maintained for five years by 2030, chosen and tended village by village.
A single mature tree absorbs roughly 22 kg of CO₂ a year and releases enough oxygen for two people.
Root systems hold topsoil in place and recharge groundwater — vital in Odisha's flood-and-drought cycle.
Fruit-bearing and timber species create long-term income for the families who tend them.
Native plantations bring birds, pollinators and small wildlife back to degraded land.
